it’s the 8th day of the 6th month, and
time for more heARTwork by Yuri.
unlike our last month's featured pieces, there’s no particular
medium showcased this time around. instead, we’ve selected a small diverse group
featuring clamshells, wooden coasters, a ceramic plate, and papier-mâché masks.
aren’t these clamshells sweet? they’ve been sprayed with
gold paint and illustrated in brightly-colored oils. we especially enjoy the
one with the royal couple on it (upper right).

these wooden coasters with fauna and flora are hand-painted with oils.

this ceramic plate was illustrated with red grapes hand-painted with acrylics.

and, finally, these are Yuri’s handmade papier-mâché masks.
if you’re familiar with Japanese culture, you’ll recognize them as they are
often featured in Noh plays.
